Brick installation, laid true.
New brick walls, planters, borders and structures, laid course by course on a proper footing with mortar that matches your home.
- Typical timeline: 2 days to 3 weeks
- Foundation: Footing below frost depth
- Mortar: Type N or S, color matched

What it is, and why it matters.
A good brick wall begins below the ground. We set a footing that reaches below frost depth, lay out string lines, check the first course for level and then build upward one course at a time, checking plumb and spacing as we go. The result is a wall whose lines stay straight for generations.
In Nashville and across Middle Tennessee we match the brick size, color range and mortar joint to what is already on the property, or help you choose a blend that looks like it was always there. Garden walls, planters, grill surrounds and freestanding structures all follow the same discipline.
Four things done right.
Footing first
A reinforced footing keeps the wall from settling or cracking.
True lines
String lines, levels and gauge rods on every course.
Matched color
Brick blends and mortar tints sampled on site before we start.
Clean finish
Joints tooled and the wall brushed and washed at the end.

Brick Installation: common questions
How long does a new brick wall take?
A small planter can be done in a day or two. A long garden wall or a structure with footings, steel and caps usually takes one to three weeks, depending on cure time and weather.
Can new brick match my old brick?
Often very closely. We sample from several manufacturers, check color range and size, and tint the mortar so the joint blends. Very old or hand-made brick may need salvaged units, which we can help source.
How do I get a price for brick installation?
